Designed the Set, Costume, Lighting and sound for a contemporary (Hypothetical) performce of the infamous play: Macbeth
Macbeth explores a space which exposes the seduction of corruption and its chaotic thirst for power, evoking an atmosphere thick with torment. The stage is both striking and dynamic, mirroring Macbeth's unravelling psyche through red rope which marks and distorts the space with each murder and death. The stark, sterile environment remains unyielding as the rope ensnares Macbeth in a web of his own making, symbolizing his descent into madness. The rope acts as a dramaturgical force, embodying prophecy which binds Macbeth to the fates of others. The witches, as puppeteers of his fate, manipulate the space and serve as visual narrators, weaving Macbeth’s tragic path. This design highlights the moral consequences of his choices, charting the transformation from integrity to malevolence with the temptation of power. Audiences are invited to experience the play from within Macbeth’s fragmented mind, immersing them in an abstracted landscape of his psychological descent.
